UDHR Flash Cards

This UDHR Flash Card is a valuable reference tool for understanding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in three languages: Rohingya, Burmese, and English. The UDHR, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948, is a historic document that outlines fundamental human rights and freedoms. Each flashcard provides a simplified version of the 30 articles of the UDHR.

To access simplified versions of the UDHR articles in both audio and text formats, we (AJAR_ Asia Justice and Rights) offer a free UDHR Flash Cards app. This app is a powerful resource for anyone interested in human rights. It not only provides simplified articles but also offers an animated video that delves into the history, content, and enduring importance of the UDHR.

This app was inspired by passionate refugees across the world eager to learn about their rights and use their voice for justice. In particular, Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR) and the Liberation War Museum of Bangladesh (LWM) have been working with Rohingya refugees in the camps of Bangladesh, and have witnessed their determination firsthand. Carrying the trauma of the past and the uncertainty of the future, the refugees persist, tirelessly seeking out new ways to improve their circumstances while continuing to honor their culture and faith. As the determination witnessed spans across all levels of education and literacy, the app materials were prepared in audio and written form in Rohingya, Burmese, and English to accommodate a range of users.
